Week 2: Cropping and Resizing Images and Tonal Range

For this assignment, we learned how to crop and resize images on Adobe Photoshop, as well as how to change things like tonal range. I took both of these pictures on campus, and I decided to take a focus on the views Hunter's campus has of the city. Compositionally, I wanted to take wide shots in order to have a greater depth of field and add foreground to my landscape photo. By doing so, this also allows for the content in the photo to be in focus. I increased saturation on the first photo and utilized the vibrance tool to highlight the colors and contrast between the different types of buildings and the material they are made of. For the second image, I utilized color balance, saturation, and brightness/contrast.
